HTC Evo 4G: Already a Success?

While the world gets ready for the next iteration of Apple iPhone today, it’s interesting to note that the true 4G phone by Sprint is not doing too bad either. Sprint has gone all in with the promotion of HTC Evo, so it’s not surprising that it has done well. How well? According to Sprint, its first day sales for HTC Evo 4G was more than Palm Pre and Samsung Instinct together.

Sprint is indeed in need of a boost after not doing too well with its other smart-phones. HTC Evo 4G won’t be Sprint’s iPhone. But it will provide the company with a short term boost. The trouble is, iPhone 4G is almost out. A lot of customers go for iPhone without even comparing it against other solutions on the market.

HTC Evo 4G is a very solid phone and a great option for Android fans. It may not be the next iPhone killer, but does that even matter?
