Sprint Nexus One Coming

Google announced Nexus One a while ago, but you could only get it unlocked from Google or with a plan from T-Mobile. Google did promise at a time to bring Nexus One to other carriers as well, and it seems the company is finally living up to its promise by introducing Nexus One for Sprint. Sprint seems to be getting the better part of the deal as the service is badly in need of more popular phones.
Sprint customers already have the option of two amazing Android devices with Samsung Moment(TM) and HTC Hero(TM). It is a natural fit for us to add Nexus One to the list of choices available for Sprint customers who want the best value in wireless with the best in Android
This is yet another brilliant move by Google. Unlike the iPhone, Google Nexus One works with all major networks in the U.S. The fact that the device is available through AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-mobile means you are not going to find it difficult to get your hands on a Nexus One.
There are still a few open questions that need to be answered here. For starters, we don’t know how much discount these companies are going to offer for a 2 year contract. Google also needs to address the issue of customer support for Nexus One. Whether it’s true or not, many people feel uneasy about Google not really being a smart-phone company. Not everyone is a geek who can figure out things by her own. So it’s essential for Google to change that notion that people who get Nexus One are on their own.
The phone may not be a hit and may be struggling to live up to its hype. But one can’t fault Google’s inclusive strategy. That’s something Apple continues to fail in.
