Facebook Developer Slams Android

Leave it to the good folks at Facebook to let it known how they really feel about Android. Apparently, developers are finding Android too sloppy to work with (or just blaming Android for their troubles). Joe Hewitt who has been behind Facebook’s mobile application had this gem to say about Android:

Except, Google is no more fan of rooting than Apple is of iPhone jailbreakers.
Unfortunately, as much as we want to believe that Android is truly an open system, a lot of what’s going on does depend on carriers. Verizon and other Android carriers are simply not going to stand for people getting around their systems and fees, regardless of how open Android is or how “good” Google claims to be.
