Steve Jobs: Apple CEO or Spin Master?

Apple has had a wonderful year even though it has had to deal with a bunch of issues concerning iPhone 4. The company has launched Apple iPad and is in the process of introducing new iPods and Apple TV to the market. What the company did not expect was Android growing so fast in such a short period of time. All experts believed that Android would overtake Android by 2012. As much as Apple wants to avoid that scenario, Android is just coming on too strong. Is Apple getting nervous? Possibly. How else could one explain Steve Jobs taking jabs at Google Android:

we think we’re ahead of everyone else … we think some our friends are counting upgrades in their numbers.

Steve Jobs: “Not a Chance” Google Surp...

Since Google’s last event, there has been a lot of talk about the future of Google – Apple rivalry. Till now, Apple has had the upper-hand with its iPhone and iPad. But Google Android has closed the gap, and the next edition of Android has many advantages over the iPhone OS. Add to that the fact that Android tablets are on their way, one has to wonder whether Apple can keep up with Google.

According to Steve Jobs, Apple fans have nothing to worry about. Now, we are not sure what Apple fans would expect Steve Jobs to say when they ask him whether his company is losing the battle against Android. It’s quite a silly question. Apparently, somebody has got to ask those types of questions:

Any thoughts?

iPhone Network Woes: Are Android Phones Next?

Product Details

In case you didn’t notice, AT&T pulled a dubious stunt in the NYC area by stopping iPhone sales only to restart the whole process to avoid a PR nightmare. AT&T has been blamed by Verizon and its other competitors for not being able to offer a reliable service to its customers. The iPhone seems to have only added to AT&T’s problems as the device owners put a lot of load on AT&T’s network by all the data they produce and consume online.

AT&T is not the only company that is complaining about iPhone owners’ habits. O2 is also complaining about the load that the iPhone is putting on its network. Considering that iPhone and Android phone owners are not much different, could Android phones have the same effect on Verizon and other carriers?
