Flash 10.1 Released for Android

While iPhone owners get to play with the new OS, Android fans have something to cheer about too. Apple may not be sold on the whole idea of Adobe Flash on smart-phones. Google Android will not impose such restrictions on Adobe Flash. If you have a smart-phone that runs Android 2.2, you should be able to download Adobe Flash from Android market.

Flash 10.1 is expected to offer superior performance and consume less battery life. It will work on multi-touch smart-phones as well. Adobe Flash will be available for almost all other platforms (as long as you are not holding an iPhone in your hands).

Flash is Dead? Not On Android Tablets

Steve Jobs has been quite clear about what he think of Adobe Flash. He has all but written off Adobe Flash as a viable solution for mobile devices. Adobe Flash may not be perfect., but that is not going to stop Android tablets from using Flash to differentiate themselves from Apple iPad. After all, the market leader in this niche won’t run Flash.

Android 2.2 To Support Flash

Apple may not be ready to give up an inch to Adobe to allow Flash to make it to iPhone OS, but that does not mean other top smartphone platforms are not going to support Adobe Flash. While Adobe Flash has its own problems, there is no question that there should be a place for Flash as far as mobile devices are concerned. Google’s very own Andy Rubin has all but confirmed that the next Android update will include support for Flash. Google Gets Flash On Android

Adobe Flash Comes To Android

iPhone owners eat your heart out. While Adobe and Apple spar over who was to blame for the lack of success in the talks to bring Adoble Flash to iPhone platform, Google has had no such trouble getting the job done with Android. Eric Schmidt has announced that Google Android phones will now support Flash 10.1. That means you can now interact with the web just like you would on your desktop computer. We are talking about real Flash here. It seems Google has outdone Apple and Microsoft yet again by pulling the trigger earlier than those companies.
